Welcome to the French National Interprofessional Dairy…

What is the Cniel?

The Centre National Interprofessionnel de L’économie Laitière (CNIEL) is the interprofessional economic centre for the French dairy sector. It brings together the organisations representing cow's milk producers, private dairy companies, dairy cooperatives, and actors in commerce, distribution and collective catering.

Our project:  Develop and deploy a shared strategy for an efficient and sustainable dairy sector serving stakeholders and consumers: France Terre de Lait

The dairy sector in numbers

The key figures for the dairy sector, from milk production to consumption, highlight the dynamism of the sector at regional, national and international level. In France, the dairy sector is a leader among the agri-food economic sector. Internationally, 4 out of 10 litres of milk are exported.
